JOB READINESS AT KITSO

Finding a job after matric can be challenging. Job readiness focuses on preparing you with the practical skills, confidence, and mindset needed to enter the workplace and perform effectively.

Job readiness is about more than just writing a CV. It includes how you present yourself, communicate with others, manage time, and understand workplace expectations. These are skills that employers value but are often not taught formally in school.

During the Kitso Gap Year Program, we guide students through the job search process, including identifying suitable opportunities, preparing application documents, and understanding what employers look for when hiring young people.

We also focus on workplace behaviour, professionalism, and work ethic. Many young people lose job opportunities not because they lack ability, but because they are unfamiliar with how workplaces operate.

For students who are still applying to tertiary institutions, job readiness helps build experience and confidence while waiting for application outcomes and will serve them well past their tertiary studies. For others, it becomes a direct pathway into employment.
